9/11

Today is one of the days you will never forget. Each year its creeps up on us, thinking hopefully it will go by without any feelings. It never does. It takes me back to the morning while standing in living room watching the news, one tower on fire and thinking what this all about. My son who was 2 looking along with me. He kept saying fire, fire. Until I found out what had really happened I would have thought that it could have happened this way. Our country was too secure. No one could ever pull that off. They did! Once you wrap you mind around this type of stuff it really messes up the way you thing in regard to other people, religions and their countries. I have always tried to give people the benefit of the doubt. That now is pretty much gone. Now its us and our people. These citizens who are proud to be in this country, people who would die for our way of live, die protecting it. The problem is it seems we are running low on these types. People who would run up 70 flights of stairs to help people who couldn't help themselves. They would die to help others. I worry about what our world will be like when its time for my son to be an adult who is aware and start entering into the political systems. Someone asked if God rooted for people? God is rooting for the world to get through another horrible time in history. When Rodney King asked "Why can't we all just get along?" he didn't realize the magnitude of his comment. Now is not the time to sit back and do our best not to offend people. Really now?

Where's my fence?

A note from my senator

My question to her was;
What are you going to do to secure our borders? I wasn't very nice to her..but then I realize she never saw my letter. What a joke it is out here....
They are constantly sending me stuff in mail in regard to thier soft party and the idea's or lack of that they have come up with. When it comes down to it they do nothing. More and more California especially in Southern California is over whelmed by illegals. Now our president is trying to give them all a free pass. Where is our 700 or so miles of fence we were promised last year. Our country has lost its swagger, you wonder why terrorist are not afraid to attack us.

00000 Perlman Place, Unit B
Stevenson Ranch, California 91381

Dear Mr.Welsh:

Thank you for contacting me to express your opinion on the
proposed Border Fence Project. I appreciate hearing from you.

As you know, the Border Fence Project has been under review
since its initial proposal. The Border Patrol has released a draft
environmental statement addressing the impact the project will have in
regards to illegal immigrants crossing the border and the project=s impact
upon the surrounding land. In preparing the statement, the Border Patrol
consulted with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the California
Department of Fish and Game, the State Coastal Commission, and
various elected officials.

It helps me to hear from constituents on the project. Please
know I will monitor the situation regarding the Border Fence Project and
will take your opinions into consideration should this matter come before
the Full Senate.

Again, thank you for your letter. I hope you will continue to
write me about issues that are important to you. If you have any
additional comments or questions, please feel free to contact my
Washington, D.C. staff at (202)224-3841.

Sincerely yours,

Dianne Feinstein
United States Senator
